It’s the Little Things x Chantala Kommanivanh

Miniature Terrarium by The MCB Project

For this project, I created a small-scaled, miniaturized dining room inspired by the artwork of Chantala Kommanivanh.

Kommanivanh is an artist currently working in Chicago. He just received his MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I came across his work at a gallery opening earlier this summer.

I used a terrarium house, which is very reminiscent of a glass house. If you want to make your own miniature room, you can find these glass houses for a pretty inexpensive rate at Home Goods. Let me know if you know of any other place that’s great for finding them.

In watching this video, you’ll learn how I made my miniature terrariums that I posted to my Instagram account last week. I also made a really cool Perspectives mirror as featured in CB2. Oh! And you won’t believe what I used for the rug treatment- a little secret: it only cost me $1.99.

I’d love to hear what you think so check it out and share your thoughts!
