Design I Love: Arthur Espenet Carpenter

Arthur Espenet Carpenter was a master woodworker and furniture makerknown for his Wishbone chair and desk with scalloped seashell sides. His work is in the collection of the Smithsonian Institution, Museum of Modern Art and Museum of Arts and Design in New York. What’s even more amazing is that Carpenter was self taught!

I’m loving the hard lines and juxtaposing soft colors of this Walnut Rocking Chair, which was created in 1970.
